What to Do in a Dental Emergency
If a tooth is knocked out, handle it by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently with water, and try to reinsert it into the socket or keep it moist in milk. For a toothache, rinse with warm salt water and take over-the-counter pain medication. For a broken tooth, save any pieces and call us immediately. Time is critical in dental emergencies — the sooner you call, the better your outcome.
